Professional detailers with extensive marine backgrounds, protecting your asset before work even commences and caring for it throughout the project.

The Detailing Department of Philbrook’s Boatyard Ltd. is comprised of professional detailers with extensive backgrounds in the marine industry.

Detailing

Complete exterior wash and wax from the radar arch to the waterline, before or after your trip — all metal, wood and fibreglass yachts up to 120′ and beyond
Partial or complete interior cleaning, from the bilge to the bridge
Cleaning of fridges, freezers, bedding and linens
Vacuum, dust, wash, clean and polish the house, hull and all fibreglass areas
Empty bilge water and clean the bilge using special bilge cleaner
Clean engines and engine rooms
Sub-contract dry-chem carpet cleaning (dries in one hour)
Our specialty — teak deck two-step cleaning using deck cleaner and brightener
Preparation for winter storage at the end of the season
Spring cleaning to prepare for usage after winter storage

Decommissioning

Photograph, label, inventory, pack and store personal items
Arrange freezer and dry storage of provisions

Commissioning

Replace all personal items at completion, as recorded by the photographs taken

Protection

Foam for walls and corners to prevent damage
Plastic to keep dust and dirt off
Cardboard for protection of interiors and floors
Deck mask — heavy-duty adhesive protective cover, 18″ or 24″ wide

Laundry & facility care

Boat linens and personal clothing
Dry cleaning, laundromat or special cleaning by hand
Maintain the cleanliness and order of all shops and facilities on site

The Detailing Department is involved in all works in progress and completed projects. Mermaid specialty marine products are used for all vinyls, plastics and canvas. The department maintains the proper atmosphere for the work being done to occur in a safe and hygienic environment, with the protection and care of your asset as first priority.
